Sheila “Jazz” Starr and Sean Thomas of Starr Productions Photography build on what the bride and groom envision for their wedding pictures by using their years of experience and photographer’s intuition to deftly catch vivid snapshots that regularly exceed expectations.
As Thomas explains about taking both traditional and photojournalistic shots, “it’s important to have a sort of sixth sense of when to switch styles to create the best mix depending on the atmosphere of the overall wedding.” Starr and Taylor have this sixth sense in spades, catching candids and arranging formals for an always satisfying medley of images.
In addition to shooting albums full of bright, incisive photos rich with ambience and personality, this photography duo enjoys, “meeting new people, and fulfilling their wants and needs on their wedding day.”
Starr and Thomas use their substantial photography backgrounds to take images full of life and emotion. Even so, their career in wedding photography had a kismet beginning, when, while working as DJs, the bride liked their photos of the event better than those taken by her professional photographer. The two have been putting their talents behind the lens to work for couples ever since.
